SMS Consent & Messaging

Last updated: September 13, 2026

How We Obtain SMS Consent

Career Catalyst Institute sends text messages only after a recipient has affirmatively agreed to receive SMS communications. Providing a mobile number by itself does not automatically enroll a person in SMS messaging.

Website Opt-In

When SMS consent is offered through a CCI website form, the individual enters a mobile number and separately selects an unchecked SMS-consent checkbox. SMS consent is optional and is not required to submit the form, request information, schedule an appointment, or receive services.

Website consent language: I agree to receive text messages from Career Catalyst Institute regarding appointments, admissions and enrollment follow-up, scheduling updates, application or document reminders, and student-support communications. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. Consent is not a condition of receiving services. See our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.

Verbal Opt-In

A prospective student may also provide a mobile number directly to a CCI engagement coordinator, including during a conversation that began through social media, phone, an event, or another one-to-one interaction. Before CCI begins SMS messaging, the coordinator asks for express permission to text the individual.

Coordinator consent script: “Would you like to receive text messages from Career Catalyst Institute at the number you provided about your inquiry, appointments, admissions or enrollment follow-up, scheduling updates, and student-support information? Message frequency varies and message and data rates may apply. You can reply STOP at any time to opt out or HELP for help. Consent is not required to receive services.”

The engagement coordinator records the individual's affirmative consent in CCI's CRM before SMS messages are sent. If the individual does not consent, CCI may retain the contact information for other permitted communication methods but will not enroll that number in the SMS campaign.

Message Types and Frequency

Messages may include appointment confirmations and reminders, admissions and enrollment follow-up, scheduling updates, application or document reminders, and student-support communications. Message frequency varies based on the recipient's inquiry and interaction with CCI.

Opt Out and Help

Reply STOP to opt out of SMS messages. Reply HELP for assistance. Message and data rates may apply.

Privacy

CCI does not sell or share mobile numbers or SMS opt-in consent with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Service providers that support messaging may process information only as necessary to provide services to CCI and not for their own marketing.
